Gold Fossicking in

Queensland

By Barry Neville

This 96-page, full-colour, A4-size book is illustrated with copious photographs and maps, including a separate A2-size folded map titled ‘Queensland Gold’ showing the goldfields and major producing gold mines. And it all fits into a convenient plastic envelope!

The book is designed for prospectors and looks at gold fossicking in Queensland as a recreational and tourist activity. Written in a non-technical style that is both informative and easily read, the book provides intending fossickers with information about gold and how and where to search for it.

The introductory section on Queensland’s vast mineral wealth, in particular gold, leads the reader into the main text of the book which comprises six main chapters covering all aspects of gold and fossicking.
